We know starting speech therapy comes with a lot of questions. Here are the answers families ask most often, plus clear info about billing and policies.

take the first leap

Do you take insurance?

No. We’re a private-pay practice, which means payment is due at the time of service. Many families choose this option because it often means getting started sooner, more flexibility, and care that isn’t limited by insurance rules.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Credit card, debit card, HSA (health-savings-account) or FSA (flexible-spending-account) cards are accepted. sessions are automatically charged the evening after the session on our confidential client portal.

What’s the first step to get started?

The first step is completing our new client intake form. This gives us the opportunity to learn about your child and your concerns before recommending the best next step. Once we've reviewed your information, we'll reach out to discuss our recommendations and help you schedule the service that's the best fit for your family.

Why do families choose private pay?

Private pay often means starting right away, more personalized support, and a plan focused on your child, not what insurance allows. It also makes it easier to choose the service that fits best (evaluation, therapy, groups, intensives, or parent coaching).

How long does speech therapy take?

It depends on your child's needs and goals. Some kids make meaningful progress in a few months. Our goal is always to get your child the skills they need and graduate them — not to keep them in therapy longer than necessary. We'll give you a realistic picture during your first consult or evaluation.

Do you provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement?

Yes. we automatically generate and send a monthly superbill for services that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement (coverage varies by plan)

Do I need an evaluation before therapy?

Not always. If you have a previous evaluation within 6 months, a school IEP, or an IFSP, we waive our evaluation fee. we do still create our own treatment plan after the first few weeks of therapy.
