Andy Makes the Announcements

Lily wrote a children's book! While working with students who stutter, Lily realized there was a lack of children’s stories relating to speech and language disorders. She created the Zoo Academy world to show children they are not alone in their communication difficulties, and they can work to overcome them.

On Andy’s first day of school his teacher assigns him with reading the morning announcements
aloud to the class. Andy is petrified. He has a stutter and speaking in front of groups
makes him very nervous. He seeks the help of his sister to get rid of his stutter, but quickly realizes that he needs to overcome this on his own. After creative problem solving,
and persistent practice, Andy perseveres and finds his own way to conquer his stutter, using smooth speech during the morning announcements.

A positive story that will uplift any child who stutters or who needs help overcoming a challenge.
