Do you take insurance?

No. We're a private-pay practice, which means payment is due at the time of service. We provide automatic monthly superbills you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Many families find that private pay means getting started sooner, more flexibility, and care that isn't limited by insurance rules.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept credit card, debit card, HSA, and FSA cards through our secure HIPAA-compliant client portal. Sessions are automatically charged the evening after each session.

Question 3

Do I need to pay for an evaluation if my child already has an IEP or IFSP?

Accepted Answer

If your child has a valid IEP, IFSP, or recent evaluation report, we waive our $365 evaluation fee at our discretion based on the presenting concern. We still create our own treatment plan after the first few weeks of therapy.

How long does speech therapy take?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your child's needs and goals. Some kids make meaningful progress in a few months. Our goal is always to get your child the skills they need and graduate them — not to keep them in therapy longer than necessary.

Can I stay in the room during therapy?

Accepted Answer

Yes — caregivers stay in the room at Lilypad. You're a big part of the session. Our goal isn't just for your child to communicate with their speech therapist — it's for them to communicate with the people they love most.

Question 6

Do you provide superbills for insurance reimbursement?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We automatically generate and send a monthly superbill you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan — we recommend verifying your out-of-network benefits before starting.
